This simple e-book 'Mathguide' covers some of the most basic facts about various topics of mathematics. Going through the book once, will be a confidence booster for the students. If parents are finding it difficult to help their kids in mathematics, then the book will help them revisit the basic mathematical know-how. The teachers can revise their learning from time to time by finding all the facts in such a compact form.
      The topics covered are Number System, Ratio and Proportion, Percentage and its Applications, Sets, Logarithms, Sequence and Series, Algebraic Expressions, Polynomials, Linear Equations, Quadratic Equations and Geometry.     Effort is made to make this e-book very easy and interesting. Students of 9th and 10th grade in 12-14 age group will be specially interested in this book. I have taught 9th to 12th grade students for some years. Mostly what students need is motivation. This book will motivate students during tests when they have less time to cover all the content.   
   The next Edition is getting ready with many new topics. It will also be published on Amazon very soon. Topics like Mensuration, Coordinate Geometry, Statistics, Trigonometry, Probability will be covered.

SOLVING A PROBLEM OR PROBLEM SOLVING IN MATHEMATICS             I have a problem, I want to solve it. Say the problem is - Who Shaves the Barber?  To solve this, do I need mathematics? The answer is No. I just need to ask the barber and the problem will be solved. Lets take another example. I want to go on a vacation for 5 days. For that I have to take a leave, select a place for vacation, check how much money is required, check booking dates with hotel, decide mode of transport and make a time-plan of visits to different places during vacation. Now the question arises, "Do I need mathematics?" The answer is Yes. Money required, dates, distance to travel and time-plan need mathematics.
